In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, acquiring items and funds through thievery offers a tempting shortcut. However, selling stolen goods presents challenges: most merchants refuse such transactions, and possession of stolen items can lead to arrest. Here's how to navigate this:
Selling Stolen Goods:
The simplest method is to store stolen items in a chest. After approximately one to two in-game weeks, the "stolen" marker will vanish, allowing you to sell them to any merchant NPC. The presence of this marker makes stolen items easily identifiable, and guards will arrest you if they discover them during an inventory check unless you bribe your way out.
Accelerating the Process:
Investing in the "Hustler" and "Partner in Crime" perks (found under the Speech skill tree) eliminates the need to wait. These perks enable the direct sale of stolen items without penalty.
Alternatively, fences will purchase stolen goods. Early in the game, a fence can be found in the Nomads' Camp.
Time Sensitivity:
The time required for a stolen item's "stolen" status to expire depends on its value. More expensive items take longer to become sellable.
