We currently know six of the characters confirmed for the fighting game Invincible VS, with more to come. But exactly how many? According to comments from Invincible creator Robert Kirkman in an IGN interview at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the final roster for Invincible VS is set to be massive.
Invincible VS is an upcoming 3v3 tag-team fighter set within the Invincible universe, developed by Skybound Entertainment's first internal studio, Quarter Up. Characters already announced include Mark Grayson (Invincible), Atom Eve, Thula, Bulletproof, and Rex Splode. For more details, check out IGN's Invincible VS preview from June.
Fresh off his SDCC 2025 panel, where he revealed Battle Beast as a playable fighter, Kirkman told IGN that if fans are hoping to see a specific character from the comics or Prime Video series, there's a "99% chance" they'll make the cut.
He added, lightheartedly, that this insight might count as a spoiler.
"There's so much care being put into staying true to the Invincible universe," Kirkman explained. "So if you're a fan and you're thinking, 'There's a fighting game coming—who would I want to play as?' There's a 99% chance that character will be included. I'll just say that. That's a spoiler. I might get in trouble for it, I don't know."
He continued: "The roster is going to be absolutely insane. I'm thrilled we announced Battle Beast. You can't have an Invincible fighting game without him as a playable character. There are other essential characters like that who will almost certainly be in the game. We have a lot of announcements still to come. A fantastic team is working on this, and I can't wait for everyone to see what's in store."

As for the release window, Kirkman reaffirmed a 2026 launch but hinted, "Sooner than you may think… But next year. I'm not being specific." Intriguing.
