Possible Release for

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

A potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus (2022). Unlike its predecessor, which omitted traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expected to maintain the open-ended, collection-centric gameplay style. Details about the game have been scarce since its announcement.

The Amazon UK listing briefly showing the August 15th date, as reported by content creator Light88, was swiftly corrected to a December 31st placeholder. However, the August date's consistency with the previously announced release timeframe adds intrigue.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Given the initial announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, it's plausible the release date will be confirmed during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, scheduled for February 27th (the anniversary of the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green). Recent findings from a Pokémon GO datamine further support this February 27th date.

Beyond the Release Date

Fans can anticipate more than just a release date announcement. A gameplay reveal is also highly likely, potentially debuting during the Pokémon Day 2025 presentation.

Initially confirmed as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to confirmed backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon titles have featured paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received one free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
