"Pokémon GO Unveils Urshifu and Gigantamax Machamp in Final Strike Battle Week"

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week event is set to kick off on May 21st, 2025, and will run until May 27th, marking the culmination of your journey with Kubfu. This final week is your chance to evolve the determined little bear into the legendary Urshifu, and you have the opportunity to unlock it in two distinct forms: Single Strike or Rapid Strike.

To evolve Kubfu into the Single Strike style, you must set it as your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, the challenge remains the same but shifts to battling 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week. This event offers a thrilling conclusion to your efforts, allowing you to tailor Urshifu to your preferred battling style.

In addition to the evolution quest, a Special Research storyline will be available, continuing the season's narrative. You can access this research until June 3rd, 2025, and it rewards you with Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon, such as Charcadet featuring a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles. This special day comes packed with exciting bonuses, including the ability to earn Max Particles by traveling just one-fourth the normal distance. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. During this window, you'll receive 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the opportunity for two additional Special Trades.

Don't overlook the chance to collect Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack these mushrooms to extend the duration of the boost, although the power increase remains consistent.
