In a recent statement, the company outlined the measures it's taking to address these supply issues, marking the first time they've publicly addressed the challenges faced with this new Pokemon TCG expansion.

Prismatic Evolutions, unveiled in early November 2024, saw its pre-orders open shortly after. With an international release planned for January 17, 2025, this set was poised to kick off the year with a bang for Pokemon TCG enthusiasts. However, like many new expansions, Prismatic Evolutions has encountered global shortages, including in the United States.

Responding to weeks of fan feedback and concerns voiced on social media, The Pokemon Company has now acknowledged the difficulty in obtaining some of its upcoming products. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokemon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," a company representative shared with IGN.

Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Reprints Are Coming Soon

Efforts are underway to produce reprints of the Prismatic Evolutions set, which are expected to reach licensed distributors in the near future. While a specific timeline hasn't been confirmed, the company is committed to resolving the issue swiftly. Although some have pointed fingers at scalpers for the shortages, The Pokemon Company attributes them to "high demand," without further elaboration.

More Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Products Are Also on the Horizon

In addition to the reprints, The Pokemon Company is excited to announce that new Prismatic Evolutions products will be hitting the market in the coming months. As previously mentioned in the expansion's initial announcement in November 2024, fans can look forward to a variety of new releases.

Among the upcoming Prismatic Evolutions products set to be released after the initial January 2025 launch are a new Mini Tin and Surprise Box, both scheduled for February 7. Following these, a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection are planned for March 7 and April 25, respectively. The excitement continues with a Super-Premium Collection on May 16 and a Premium Figure Collection on September 26. For those eager to get their hands on the new cards, the Pokemon TCG Live mobile game will begin rewarding Prismatic Evolutions cards starting January 16, allowing fans to start building their collections through gameplay.
