Nintendo's Alarmo: Wider Release and Enhanced Features
Nintendo's innovative alarm clock, Alarmo, is slated for a broader release in March 2025, as announced via the company's Twitter (X) account. Initially requiring a Nintendo Online subscription, this restriction will be removed, making Alarmo accessible to all. The device will be available at major retailers worldwide, including Target, Walmart, GameStop, and other authorized vendors, for $99.99 USD.
The initial release saw incredibly high demand, leading to sell-outs and a lottery system in Japan to manage orders. Similar demand was observed in New York City.
Alarmo's popularity comes as no surprise, given its unique features. Boasting 42 selectable scenes featuring beloved characters from games like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Splatoon 3, Alarmo offers a playful wake-up experience. The alarm gently starts, escalating in intensity if you linger in bed. A motion sensor allows silencing the alarm without touching the device.
Beyond its core functionality, Alarmo provides additional features such as hourly chimes, sleep sounds, and sleep pattern tracking. For those sharing a bed with others or pets, a "Button Mode" is recommended.
The expanded release in March 2025 marks a significant step for Alarmo, promising wider availability and continued enjoyment for Nintendo fans worldwide. Further free updates, including scenes from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, are planned.
