In the Marvel Rivals files, dataminers have found a fight with a kraken and a new mode

Data miner X0X_Leaks uncovered evidence within the Marvel Rivals game files hinting at a forthcoming PvE mode featuring a boss battle against a kraken. While the kraken model includes some animations, high-resolution textures are currently absent. The dataminer demonstrated the kraken's potential in-game scale using its existing size parameters.

Marvel Rivals also announced details of its significant Spring Festival event, commencing this Thursday. This event introduces a unique three-player team-based game mode, "Clash of Dancing Lions," where players compete to score a ball into the opposing team's goal, and offers a free Star-Lord costume.

The mode bears a striking resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, itself inspired by Rocket League. This similarity is noteworthy, given Marvel Rivals' apparent attempt to establish its own identity and differentiate itself from Overwatch by creating original content. However, the inaugural major event's game mode arguably mirrors Overwatch's original event, albeit with a distinct Chinese cultural theme in contrast to Overwatch's Olympic Games aesthetic.
