Marvel Rivals to Feature PlayStation's Spider-Man 2 Suit This Month

Fans of Marvel Rivals have a thrilling crossover to look forward to as the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 swings into the game as a new skin. PlayStation broke the news through a post on X/Twitter, showcasing how NetEase Games is bringing the iconic video game outfit to life in their hero shooter.

The sleek Advanced Suit 2.0 first appeared in Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man and has since been featured in all three games of the series. Its standout feature is the now-iconic white spider symbol, which makes this suit a perfect fit for the surprise collaboration between Sony and the console-exclusive superhero game. Players can expect to see Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 available in the in-game store starting January 30, coinciding with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coming to PC.

Marvel Rivals, which launched in December, already boasts a variety of unlockable suits, but the addition of the Advanced Suit 2.0 stands out due to its connection to the beloved PlayStation series. The suit will be donned by a Spider-Man voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who has lent his voice to Peter Parker in all three Insomniac games and now in Marvel Rivals. Players purchasing the costume on January 30 will feel an authentic connection as they swing into action.

NetEase's inclusion of Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0 adds to the excitement of everything that dropped with Season 1: Eternal Night Falls last week. This season introduced Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman from the Fantastic Four as new playable characters, with The Thing and Human Torch set to join soon. Creative director Guangyun Chen has promised to launch at least one new hero every month and a half, ensuring a steady stream of fresh content.

While waiting to don the new Spider-Man suit, players can explore some of the custom skins modded into the game, learn about all of the balance changes introduced with Season 1, and discover how some players are using an Invisible Woman ability to detect what they believe are bot players.
