J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has broken her silence in a recent interview with Business Insider, vehemently denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. These allegations first surfaced in 2017, following Joan Lee's passing, and were extensively detailed in a 2018 The Hollywood Reporter (THR) article. The THR piece painted a troubling picture, alleging that J.C. Lee pressured her parents for money and control over their assets, and described a volatile relationship marked by verbal arguments and at least one reported physical altercation. The article included photos of a bruise on Joan Lee’s arm, which were part of the accusations J.C. Lee now refutes.

In her Business Insider interview, J.C. Lee firmly stated that all accusations against her are "a lie." She explained her initial silence following the THR report, saying she was advised by those around her to not respond publicly at the time. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she questioned, emphasizing the falsehood of the claims. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it," she asserted. J.C. Lee admitted to having heated arguments with her parents over financial matters but stressed that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she affirmed.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive Business Insider interview delves into J.C. Lee's personal experiences growing up under the shadow of her father's fame, her financial struggles, feelings of manipulation and loneliness, her creative endeavors, and the challenges of carrying forward her father's legacy.
