January 2025 PS Plus Free Games Now Available

Sony has unveiled an exciting lineup of free PlayStation Plus games for January 2025, now available for redemption in the PlayStation Store. This month's selection includes the much-discussed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, developed by the acclaimed Batman: Arkham series creator, Rocksteady Studios. Alongside it are the adrenaline-pumping Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and the thought-provoking The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. PlayStation Plus subscribers across all tiers—Essential, Extra, and Premium—can claim these titles at no additional cost until Monday, February 3, 2025.

The January 2025 lineup follows the successful December 2024 offerings, which featured It Takes Two, Aliens: Dark Descent, and Temtem, available for addition to game libraries until January 6, 2025. The new year kicked off with the announcement of the January games on New Year's Day, becoming accessible on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

• Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - A controversial title with a hefty file size of 79.43 GB on PS5, released in February 2024. Despite its lukewarm reception, it presents a fresh opportunity for PlayStation Plus subscribers to explore this action-packed game.
• Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered - Available only on PS4 with a file size of 31.55 GB, this fan-favorite racing game does not offer a native PS5 version or upgrade but is fully playable via backwards compatibility.
• The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe - This game offers native versions for both PS4 (5.10 GB) and PS5 (5.77 GB). An enhanced re-imagining of the 2013 original, it comes with new features, improved accessibility options, and content warnings.

To enjoy all three titles, PlayStation Plus subscribers will need at least 117 GB of free storage space on their PS5. As we approach the end of January, Sony is anticipated to announce the next wave of free PlayStation Plus games for February 2025, along with additional titles for the Extra and Premium tiers throughout the year.
