Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8: A Deep Dive into New Features and Updates

Hearthstone's Season 8 has arrived, bringing exciting changes to Battlegrounds! This update introduces new heroes, minions, cards, and a revamped system centered around Trinkets. Prepare for a thrilling new meta!

Trinkets: The New Power-Ups

The core gameplay mechanic shift is the introduction of Trinkets. Fifty-six Lesser Trinkets and sixty Greater Trinkets offer diverse buffs and strategic options. These are offered on turns 6 and 9, with four choices presented each time. The Trinkets offered are tailored to your current hero and board state, ensuring a dynamic and personalized experience for players focusing on Elementals, Dragons, Murlocs, or other minion types.

Marin the Manager: The New Hero

Meet Marin the Manager, the newest Battlegrounds hero! His unique ability grants an extra Trinket a turn early, providing a significant advantage and strategic edge.

Minions and Spells: A Refreshed Roster

Season 8 sees a significant minion refresh. While 41 minions are rotated out, 22 returning favorites and 27 brand-new minions join the fray, alongside 2 exciting new Tavern spells. This ensures a fresh and engaging experience while retaining some beloved classics.

New Cards to Collect

Four new cards add strategic depth:

• Free Travel Winner (Tier 2): A 2/2 minion that disappears after surviving combat, rewarding you with a Triple Reward.
• Inspiring Underdog (Tier 4): Provides a significant boost to your lower-tier minions.
• Lucky Egg (Tier 5): Transforms into a Golden Tier 3 minion.
• Sun Screener (Tier 6): A 10/1 minion granting Divine Shield to your three leftmost minions and your opponent's.

Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt Event

From August 27th to September 17th, participate in the Marin Resort's Treasure Hunt event! Complete Event Quests to earn 14 total packs, including rewards from Perils in Paradise and Whizbang's Workshop.
