In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, hunters have more to do than just chase terrifying creatures. The game offers a vast world ripe for exploration and a variety of quests to complete. For those eager to locate the Rime Beetle in *Monster Hunter Wilds*, here’s everything you need to know.
How to Find the Rime Beetle in Monster Hunter Wilds

If you don’t recall the hint given by Samin, you'll need to venture to the Iceshard Cliffs region to find the Rime Beetle. Unfortunately, it's not as simple as setting a waypoint and letting your Seikret lead the way. Instead, you’ll have to rely on your eyes and a bit of luck to spot a Rime Beetle in the wild. The good news is, it's not too difficult once you know where to look. This endemic creature rolls up balls of packed snow, which are easy to spot against the snowy landscape, so focus your search on areas with snow.
In the Iceshard Cliffs region, you should explore Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13. Once you arrive, move around the snow-covered areas, and you should quickly spot a Rime Beetle. Keep an eye out for tracks in the snow as well, as following them can lead you to your target.

While you can collect the Rime Beetle with your hands or the Hook Slinger, the goal here is to capture it. To do so, equip your Capture Net, which should already be part of your gear. Hold L1/LB and scroll through your options until you find the Capture Net. Press Square/X to equip it, then aim with L2/LT.
When the Rime Beetle is within your crosshairs and turns orange, fire away. This will add the Rime Beetle to your collection and fulfill Samin's request. If you choose to collect these creatures manually, you'll obtain Frost Pods instead, which can be used to inflict ice damage on your targets in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.
