Ateam Entertainment and Sanrio are co-developing this upcoming mobile RPG as part of Sanrio’s broader Fragariamemories multimedia initiative. It delivers a full-blown chivalric fantasy complete with music, narrative, and heroic flair—a style I certainly didn’t anticipate from the studio behind pastel rabbits and adorable penguins.

The story? The land of Fragaria is threatened by mysterious entities known as Seeds. To safeguard the Lords of three continents—Red, Blue, and Noir—the Knights of Fragaria rise to defend their realm. Hallritt leads this charge after answering the call of Lord Hello Kitty herself. It’s noble, dramatic, and undeniably absurd given that Hello Kitty holds lordly status.

There are 18 knights in total, organized into three units called Bouquet, each representing the color of their continent. Sanrio describes this as “an authentic fantasy story for a new generation,” hinting that players can expect more than just cute mascots clad in shiny armor—though let’s be honest, that visual appeal alone is half the charm.

This project also marks a bold step for Sanrio, which has spent decades mastering adorable branding. Now they’re venturing into the world of knights, quests, and chivalric codes. If this isn’t the ultimate crossover between sweetness and seriousness, I don’t know what is.
