Mastering Effort Value (EV) Training for Attack in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
Whether aiming for five- and six-star Tera Raid victories or conquering the ranked ladder in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, optimal stat distribution is paramount. Simply leveling up through random encounters yields suboptimal, often below-average, stats. Fortunately, several locations offer efficient Attack EV farming. This guide details the best spots.

Optimal Locations for Attack EV Farming
Pokémon Center Area – North Province (Area Two)
Image: arca.live
A community favorite, this northeastern area (near Team Star's Fighting Crew base) boasts numerous Pokémon yielding solely Attack EVs: Lokix, Scyther, Bisharp, Heracross, Dratini, and Ursaring. Note that not all provide purely Attack EVs; Falinks, for instance, offers a mixed Attack and Special Defense boost. Consistent battles are key for maximizing damage output.
Eastern Edge of Porto Marinada

For precise EV control, the eastern outskirts of Porto Marinada shine. Paldean Tauros groups yield 2 EVs each, boosted to 10 with a Power Bracer, allowing for quick accumulation and precise EV adjustment by removing the item afterward.
Power Bracer Optimization
Before embarking on EV training, equip the Power Bracer. Purchased at Delibird Presents (Mesagoza, Levincia, and Cascarrafa) for 10,000 Pokédollars, it grants an additional +8 Attack EVs per defeated Pokémon, significantly accelerating the process. This proves more cost-effective than bulk vitamin purchases.

Top Pokémon for Attack EV Training

Mass outbreaks offer exceptional EV gains, though inconsistently. Two standouts excel for efficient training:
Flamigo

Common near lakes and swamps, Flamigo appear at various levels, suitable for even low-level teams. Southeastern South Province lakes (near Grasswither Shrine) and Casseroya Watchtower No. 1 (south of Casseroya Lake) offer plentiful Flamigo, especially during "Encounter Power: Fighting" bonuses. Note that Casseroya Lake Flamigo are around level 50. Avoid level 9-20 Pokémon with the "Detect" ability.
Paldean Tauros

Found in central-western and central-eastern regions, Paldean Tauros usually appear in groups of five, especially with Fighting-type encounter rate bonuses. South of Levincia provides optimal hunting grounds. Some possess the "Intimidate" ability, slightly slowing battles.
EV Attack Training Strategies

Both Flamigo and Paldean Tauros, yielding 2 base Attack EVs (10 with the Power Bracer), are ideal. Only 26 battles are needed to reach the 252 EV cap per stat. Avoid Kantonian Tauros, which only grant 1 Attack EV.
The "Tropical Sandwich" (Every Wich Way) activates "Encounter Power: Fighting Lv. 1," boosting Fighting-type Pokémon encounters.

Kelpsy Berries reduce EVs by 10, correcting accidental over-training.

Efficient EV training requires patience and precision. Prioritize locations like North Province Area Two, utilize the Power Bracer, and target Flamigo or Paldean Tauros during mass outbreaks. Avoid auto-battles and Pokémon with hindering abilities for optimal efficiency.
