Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures a constant stream of new content to keep players engaged.

Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided into two parts: one new hero in the first half, and another in the second.

This approach maintains player interest. Beyond new heroes, Marvel Rivals will also feature updates including new maps, storylines, and objectives. Previously announced characters include Blade (currently unavailable) and Ultron (revealed through leaks), with the Fantastic Four's full team also recently confirmed.

According to GameLook, a Chinese publication, the game has generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion originating from the Chinese market. This marks a significant expansion for Marvel, a powerhouse in the film industry, into the gaming sector.

Marvel Rivals successfully fills a void in the hero-shooter genre, contrasting with the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers game. NetEase delivered a high-quality heroic shooter boasting a compelling roster of characters, receiving positive reviews upon its initial release.
