Revue Starlight Re LIVE is officially shutting down. The mobile game, based on the popular anime, will cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC, ending nearly six years of service.
Why the Shutdown?
While initially a promising extension of the Revue Starlight anime, Revue Starlight Re LIVE ultimately struggled. Factors contributing to its closure include repetitive events, reused assets, and costly battle passes. Furthermore, questionable plot developments, such as a sudden character shift, negatively impacted player engagement. The server closure is global, affecting all players.
Positive Aspects
Despite its shortcomings, the game boasted a positive soundtrack featuring anime music, along with impressive 3D graphics and Live2D animations.
A Final Farewell?
Although the game's lifespan is ending, players still have a few weeks to enjoy it. Developers are launching farewell campaigns in August and September, including a "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering ten free daily pulls and a two-month birthday celebration with new gacha events. Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience these final events.
