Soon You Can Buy Xbox Games Right On Android Through The Xbox App!

The news, shared by Bond on X, highlights the impact of the recent court ruling in Google's antitrust battle with Epic Games. This ruling mandates Google Play Store to offer more app store options and flexibility, paving the way for the Xbox app. For three years (November 1st, 2024 to November 1st, 2027), Google must allow rival app stores access to its full app catalog.

What's New?

While an existing Xbox Android app allows game downloads to Xbox consoles and cloud streaming for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, the November update adds direct game purchases within the app itself.
