Exciting news for fans of Seth MacFarlane's animated series: *American Dad* is making its triumphant return to Fox in 2026, marking its second debut on the network. Alongside it, new episodes of MacFarlane's other beloved show, *Family Guy*, will also premiere during the midseason, signifying a major homecoming for both series. Originally aired on Fox from 2005 to 2014, these shows moved to TBS before returning to their original home, highlighting Fox's commitment to maintaining a "winning position" in primetime television programming.

Fox Entertainment CEO Rob Wade emphasized the network's strategy, stating, "Building on our winning position in both key demos and co-viewing this season, Fox delivers a 2025-26 schedule that’s filled with irreverence, fun and much-needed laughter. Next year more than ever, we’re bringing that promise to life with a terrific slate to delight our audiences across linear, Hulu and beyond."

The network has announced the launch of their new streaming service, Fox One, which will merge news, sports, and entertainment programming into a single platform. This service will offer both live streaming and on-demand access to the full catalog of Fox brands, with the option to bundle with Fox Nation within one platform.

While *American Dad* doesn't have a set premiere date for its Fox resurgence yet, anticipation is high. Fans can look forward to watching (and singing along to that iconic theme song) on Fox, and possibly on Fox One, though we'll have to wait until next year for official confirmation. Stay tuned for more updates as Fox continues to roll out their exciting lineup for the 2025-26 season.
