eTide HDF: A powerful tides app and widget offering detailed tide charts for locations across the globe.
The app provides accurate tide times from more than 10,000 tidal stations in the US, UK, Canada, and many other regions, with forecasts extending up to several months into the future.
For users without consistent internet access, eTide HDF saves the last 50 tide charts offline, ensuring you can still access critical data anytime, anywhere.
The app features fully resizable widgets, ranging from 1x1 to 5x5 grid sizes. These widgets can display tide information either as a graph or a table and automatically refresh to reflect the current day's data. All station information used in the widgets is available offline, making them ideal for boating, fishing, or coastal excursions.
Using your current location, the app shows tides near me, helping you quickly find relevant tide data based on where you are.
The interactive tide graph supports pinch-to-zoom gestures, allowing you to stretch or compress the chart for precise ocean tide predictions over the next few days. Swipe left or right to navigate through time with minute-level accuracy.
A unique feature of the graph is the movable horizontal line that helps determine optimal boat launch and retrieval times. By adjusting the line up or down, you can set your desired water depth. The app remembers this setting individually for each port, providing a personalized experience.
eTide HDF supports multiple time zones including local, phone, and GMT time. Tide heights are displayed in various units—feet, inches, meters, and centimeters—to suit user preferences.
The built-in distance measurement tool calculates the distance between two points on the map in miles, kilometers, and nautical miles, useful for planning trips or understanding tidal patterns across regions.
Both the app and widgets allow full customization of chart and table appearances, including color schemes and transparency levels. Each tide station in the widget is shown in its own distinct color. The app also includes day and night themes, and you can adjust the font size to improve readability or fit more data on screen.
Sunrise, sunset, moonrise, and moonset times are clearly displayed in both table and diagram formats. You can easily toggle these elements on or off. Additionally, hovering over a station on the map reveals a tooltip with real-time data for that specific location.
You can save or share any tide table or graph via email or messenger, making it easy to collaborate with friends, colleagues, or fellow mariners.
