Fireboy and Watergirl, a beloved two-player game among children, involves navigating mysterious temples to escape. Solving puzzles and collaborating are key to their success. Whether you play alone, switching between characters, or with a friend where each controls one character, the game promises endless fun.

(Note: Some might mistakenly call it Waterboy and Firegirl or Child of Water and Child of Fire.)

In each temple, Fireboy and Watergirl must run and jump, avoiding their respective dangers—Fireboy can safely traverse lava but must avoid water, while Watergirl can swim through water but should steer clear of lava. Both must evade spikes. The objective at each screen is to reach the doors—red for Fireboy and blue for Watergirl—while collecting matching colored diamonds. Speed and strategy will boost your score and ranking.

To progress, you'll need to press buttons to activate lifts, move boxes and bricks to reach higher areas, and flip switches. Teamwork is essential, with one character often holding down switches or platforms to assist the other. Levels vary from speed challenges to simultaneous hero movement and item collection. Each level ends with a performance grade, inviting you to revisit and refine your skills.
